Synopsis to 'The Lone Traveler'

The Lone Traveler

The title song. It was not until the last minute that the albums name got changed to the title of this song.
It was first going to be called Believe. But the idea of the cover art was leaning towards the idea of this song.
Finally both went hand in hand and thats how you see the cover and how its connected to the song.

The main melody of the song was lingering in my mind for a while. And then one day when I was in a
music theory class my music director at that time was explaining how he loved the Spanish influence in music
and was telling us the story of how the Spanish people acquired the Spanish guitar. It came from the Arabian
gypsies who traveled to Spain.

With that tiny history lesson in my head I imagined a scenario where an Arabian gypsy travels to the land
of the Spaniards and when he reached Spain he sees a beautiful Spanish lady dancing on the street.
So he then takes out his guitar and sits down beside her and sings her a melody and in return to her
infatuation she dances to the song.

Thats where you listen to the Arabian and Spanish influence.

Dance de Amour

This song was written with "Avanti" in mind. whats that u ask ?
The Club/ Restaurant I would work at, they were people there from different countries
but mostly Europeans. It was in the moment that I wrote the song thinking about it.
Pretty smart I should say.

Believe

This is one of the first songs I came up with. I would play it 4 years ago with nothing to record it on.
Finally after 4 years I was able to pen it down to tape/CD. The first thing I came up with was the
chorus line. If I were to embody the content of the music it would represent an athlete training and
overcoming his/her strife through physical fitness to cool his mind down and be full of energy at the
same time.

Celebrate Earth

In the summer of 2003 I had the opportunity of knowing 2 special people who inspired me to write
this song. I wrote it for them, the 2 lil girls Samantha and sophia. Picture a green valley where
kids from every continent come together and do a universal dance. Where they portray a feeling of
oneness and unity and leaving our differences aside.

St. Paul's Rock
I had the riff with the pipe organ in my mind for a long time.
Then when I was done writing the songs for the CD I thought I needed something like
a good show opener. Then it was one of those things where you close your eyes and picture
yourself in a huge rock concert...
Now what would you like for the band to open with that
will capture your mind and ears and know that it will fascinate you ?
think huge light choreography, lazers, pyros and the crowd going crazy.
That's what the song was about.

Ocean of Love

Picture love on the Ocean...if you know what I mean.

For All God's Children

The signature song for me. This song is who I am. I thank God for this song just cause it feels like its too good to be
mine. Its definitely a song from above. I remember the day I wrote this song. It was a very touching story.
I was having lunch with My good friend Mark and he had invited his neighbor too. They were a very quiet American
family with 2 little kids. 2 boys. The older 4 and the younger was close to a year. The older was seriously handicap.
He could not talk or use his tongue because when the doctors were operating on him something went wrong and
affected his nervous system and he was left unable to talk for life. So he would use his wrists and arms to signal us.
He was on a wheel chair, could not move from the waist down and would not eat or drink like normal people could.
I felt that this was really unfair. To a child this small and innocent.

I don't know how but with this thought I guess my mind opened to creativity and the song just came in and I thought
that it was the perfect marriage of the feeling I had to the song I wrote. God Bless that child and that Family wherever
they are. His name was Zak.

That one night

The inspiration of this song was the last phrase from "Moulin Rouge"
" The most important lesson you can learn, is to love and be loved in return"

Soul Rocker

Think Rocky. Cause he has inspired 3 songs that I wrote. you cant deny the fact that
Sly did a great job on those Rocky movies. Especially Rocky 4.
Some people have also said they think of Horses.

Hey thats why they didn't called him " The Italian Stallion" for nothing.
